


It doesn't work well with Firefox because Firefox on Android (unlike on PC) tries to read the whole ZIM into memory when you pick it. On Android it works best with Samsung Internet browser, which has faster filereading for some strange reason, but its OK with Chrome. *On Android, filereading is sluggish (hey, it's not our fault.😥), so you're overall better off with Kiwix Android, but it's still fine for that quick fix and with smaller archives. This app comes in various formats: see Latest release for more info. There's likely another API that can be accessed to get this information though. I've also found files with dates in the future and dates close to the unix epoch. The HTTP 'Last-Modified' header does contain a date, and so does the URL path, but these are often conflicting.
